Gaelettes vanquish Lady Spartans in SCC semifinals

Angie Ferro's goal in the 62nd minute proved to be the difference, as the second-seeded Shelton High girls soccer team ousted third-seeded Amity High, 1-0, in the SCC playoff semifinals at Finn Stadium.
Shelton will face Cheshire High in the league final on Saturday at Crisafi Field in East Haven at 5 p.m.
The Gaelettes improved to 14-1-3, while Amity dropped to 13-2-3.
