Edward V. Mudrey

Edward V. Mudrey, 92, of Shelton, husband of Edna Cadoret Mudrey, died Feb. 19, in Griffin Hospital.


Son of the late John and Anna Velancheck Mudrey, he was born Nov. 5, 1919 in Mount Carmel, Pa.

Mr. Mudrey was a World War II Army veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he became employed as a tool maker at Apex Tool for more than 30 years until his retirement in 1989.

He is survived by his two daughters, Carol Gudsnuk Tierney and her husband, Frank, and Barbara Saleeme; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Michael Saleeme; a grandaughter, Theresa Gardella; and his brothers and sisters.

Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, handled arrangements. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
