Catherine E. DeFelice

Catherine E. DeFelice, 65, of Shelton, died Jan. 18, at home, with her family by her side. She was the wife of William DeFelice.


 

Daughter of the late Francis and Catherine Cordette Sullivan, she was born April 22, 1946 in New Haven.

Mrs. DeFelice was a past president of the St. Joseph’s Rosary Society. In 1995 she was a member of the Shelton High School Quarter Back Club, and enjoyed Shelton High football games, especially during the 1995 championship team that her youngest son played on.

She also enjoyed reading novels, spending time with her grandchildren and taking trips to the casino with her husband.

Besides her husband, survivors include her children, William DeFelice and his wife, Jennifer, Robert DeFelice, and his wife Amy, Laureen Wagner and her husband, Tim and Michael DeFelice and his wife, Elizabeth; siblings, William Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan, Frank Sullivan, Mary Geloso, and Corrine Gilbert; nine grandchildren, Henry, Isabel, Caroline, Catherine, Kerry, Matthew, Sophia, Jacob, and Tyler; her mother-in-law, Clara DeFelice, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Jesulaitis and Jeanne Brualdi.

Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, handled arrangements. Burial in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
