Ann E. Gibbs, 93, of Shelton, wife of the late Harold F. Gibbs Sr., died Feb. 1, at home.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Ann Prystaj Zalmer, she was born April 7, 1918 in Shelton.
During her life, Mrs. Gibbs worked as a school bus aide for Laidlaw of Shelton for many years until her retirement in 2008 at the age of 90.
She is survived by a son, Harold F. Gibbs Jr. of Seymour; grandchildren, Harold F. Gibbs III of Yorktown, Va., and Daniel T. and his wife, Melissa of Meriden; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Charlotte, Timothy, and Brandon Gibbs; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Thomas, Fred, and Richard Zalmer; and granddaughter, Barbara Ann Gibbs.
Visiting hours are Saturday, Feb. 11, 2-4 p.m., James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton; service will follow at 4.
