Frances N. Jusko Kania, 99, of Shelton, wife of the late John Kania, died Jan. 26.
Daughter of the late Frank and Amelia Jusko, she was born Feb. 25, 1912 in Wakefield, Mass.
Mrs. Kania was employed as an operator for the New York Telephone Company for many years before her retirement.
Frances was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family above all else, her family said. She will be fondly remembered as “Toots” to those close to her.
Having learned to drive at the age of 61, she thoroughly enjoyed bowling, shuffle board and bingo.
Survivors include a daughter, Leona Ann “Lee” Korzun and her husband, Frederick of Huntington; and a granddaughter, Nicole Korzun of Milford.
She also was predeceased by a brother, Robert Jusko; sisters, Leona Jusko and Helen Biniewicz; and a nephew, Sonny Biniewicz.
Services are Monday, Jan. 30, 1 p.m., Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Visiting hours, Monday, 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
