Nicholas David Tarasovich, 61, formerly of Milford and Shelton, husband of Mary Ellen (Newland), died Jan. 9, at his home in Savannah, Ga.
Son of Helen (Dyno) Tarasovich and the late Nicholas Tarasovich, he was born Aug. 8, 1950 in Bridgeport, where he grew up.
Mr. Tarasovich graduated from Bullard Havens Technical High School. He became an accomplished tool & die maker working at several local companies, including GE, Sikorsky and IBM.
He lived in Milford for several years and also in Shelton, before relocating to Savannah, where he was the owner of a successful bicycle repair business, Your Bike MD.
An avid bicyclist, he also enjoyed riding his Ducati motorcycle and his other hobbies of woodworking, archery, beekeeping and nature hikes with his family in the Georgia warmth.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his daughters, Mercedes Clark and her husband, Chris of Bessemer, Ala. and Melanie Tarasovich of Savannah; a sister, Lisa Cioffi and her husband, Paul of Shelton; sister-in-law, Barbara Tarasovich of Shelton; niece, Nicole Chick and her husband, Tony of Woodbridge; nephew, Matthew Cioffi of Shelton; one grandniece and grandnephew.
He also was predeceased by his brother Jonathan.
Adams Funeral Home of Savannah handled the arrangements.
