Raffles and more during library day

Take Your Child to the Library Day is set for this Saturday at Plumb Memorial Library, from 9-4:30 p.m.
Register your child for his or her own library card and win a chance at a free bookbag or a free Kindle or Nook. For those renewing a library card, get free "Plumb Bucks" for fines or book sales.
From 10-4 p.m., there will be a library-wide scavenger hunt. Use a map and clues to collect stickers and knowledge of the library. Turn in a completed map and get a prize and a raffle ticket for a Nook or a Kindle.
There will be a special children's book sale that day. Child-friendly items of all kids offered by The Friends of the Shelton Libraries.
