Vincent DeFilippo Jr., 79, of Shelton went to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 16, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He is the devoted husband of 55 years to Ann Greco DeFilippo.
Mr.DeFilippo was born in Derby on Aug. 13, 1932, son of the late Vincent and Anna (Antonucci) DeFilippo, Sr. and was a Shelton resident his entire life.
Crib tents sold by major retailers pose serious safety risk

The state Department of Consumer Protection is alerting consumers about a nationwide voluntary recall of crib tents and play-yard tents sold by five major retailers, including Bed Bath & Beyond and Walmart.
The recall was announced by The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the five major retailers. Refunds will be made available to consumers who have purchased any of the recalled crib tents or play yard tents made by Tots in Mind, Inc.
According to CPSC, infants and toddlers are at risk of serious injury or death due to strangulation and entrapment by these products, and urges parents and caregivers to stop using these crib tents and play yard tents immediately. Do not attempt to repair these products.
